we keep this short. no walls of legal text.
what you can do
- ✓ download data for personal or commercial use
- ✓ use our api programmatically
- ✓ build trading algorithms, backtests, research papers, and products
- ✓ share or redistribute derived/aggregated data (e.g., analysis, visualizations, statistical models)
- ✓ cite us in research (appreciated but not required)
what you can't do
- ✗ resell raw market data as a competing data service
- ✗ abuse quotas (scraping, multiple accounts, circumventing limits)
- ✗ reverse-engineer our infrastructure to compete with us
- ✗ use the service for illegal purposes
- ✗ claim the data as your own
your data, our liability
accuracy disclaimer
we provide market data as accurately as possible. however:
- • exchanges have bugs. we have bugs. verify critical data with multiple sources.
- • don't use this as your only source for live trading decisions.
- • this is not financial advice.
no warranties
the service is provided "as-is" without warranties of accuracy, completeness, or availability.
we do our best to keep it running, but uptimes vary.
liability cap
our total liability to you is limited to the fees you've paid in the last 3 months
(currently $0 for free tier). we're not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or indirect damages.
quotas & rate limits
- • free tier: 25 GB/month
- • api: standard rate limits apply (see docs)
- • if you consistently hit limits, email us about upgrading
we reserve the right to:
- • suspend accounts for quota abuse or policy violations
- • enforce rate limiting to protect system stability
- • terminate service if you violate these terms
account termination
you can delete your account anytime. we'll wipe your personal data except:
- • anonymized download logs (for infrastructure planning)
- • data retention required by law
we can terminate your account if you:
- • violate these terms repeatedly
- • abuse the service
- • use it for illegal purposes
changes to these terms
we'll email you if we make material changes. minor clarifications won't require notification.
by using the service after changes go live, you accept them.
